Emerald eye makeup

I don't believe in the 'rules' that blue or green eyes are not compatible with emerald or turquoise eye-shadows. If anything, when used properly they can even accentuate the eye colour. To demonstrate this, I chose a Dior palette 556 Contraste Horizon and Smashbox On the Rocks palette (the Midnight Emerald shade in the last row).

I started with the upper left light green colour and distributed it all over the lid as a base. From the inner corner to the half of my lash line I dusted the dark golden colour (upper right). For the inner corners I used the middle colour as a highlight. Then I took a small dense brush and dampened it before going into my outer corner with the lower right turquoise shade and winged it as a liner. In the middle of my lash line I patted the emerald shade from the Smashbox palette to complete the transition. Blend everything together with a fluffy blending brush. With whatever is left on the blending brush, I ran through my lower lash line. Finally, to add some dimension to my upper lid, I added the rich brown colour from the Dior palette to create some depth.

To finish off, I added two coats of mascara on my upper and lower lashes.
I hope you like the look!
